The Signal by StackEnhance Chrome extension

What the Chrome extension shows for the online store you are on, what it can and cannot see, and how to remove it.

The extension puts the public facts from a brand's page on stackenhance.com one click away while you are on the brand's own site. Install it from the Chrome Web Store.

What it shows

Click the icon on a tracked online store and the popup shows:

  • when the store last sent a marketing email, and how many per week;
  • how many emails Signal has observed in total;
  • the three most recent subject lines the brand's public page already shows;
  • the brand's other markets, and a few similar brands.

Every link opens the brand's page on stackenhance.com. On a site Signal does not follow, the popup says so and offers to suggest the store.

What it cannot see

  • Your browsing stays on your device. The extension downloads the list of tracked store domains and matches the page you are on locally. The page address is never sent to StackEnhance or anyone else.
  • It reads nothing from the page: no content, no cookies, no form fields.
  • It only works when you click it. It does not follow you from tab to tab and asks for no permission to read your browsing history.
  • It shows only what the public brand page shows. Full campaigns, offers and analysis are in Signal, with an account.

Remove it

Right-click the icon and choose Remove from Chrome, or open chrome://extensions and remove Signal by StackEnhance. Nothing is left behind: the extension stores only its cached domain list, which Chrome deletes with it.
